Now on display, Works on Paper is a vibrant collection spanning ten years of artistic exploration.
Featuring an eclectic mix of 2D works in pen and ink, graphite, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, collage, oil, glass, and digital media, this exhibition brings together pieces that range from abstract to figurative, each sparking its own unique story.

Meet Patrice Malatestinic
Patrice is a multidisciplinary artist, musician, writer, and lecturer whose creative journey spans both visual and performing arts.
Since 1990, she has been French horn faculty at colleges throughout the Capital Region, dedicating much of her career to music education and artistic expression.
Her exploration of visual art began through creating promotional materials and stage pieces for her students’ concerts and professional faculty recitals.
This passion led her to formally study Studio Art, taking courses at Adirondack Community College, the College of Saint Rose, the University at Albany, Berkshire Arts Center, and Salem Art Works. She has also studied under art professor-colleagues at Skidmore College, deepening her knowledge and refining her artistic voice.
A recognized figure in the regional art scene, Patrice is an alumna of the Arts Center of the Capital Region’s Critical Forum and a member of Alice Sheridan’s Connected Artist Group.
Her work has been exhibited in juried and member shows at Albany Center Galleries, the Arts Center of the Capital Region, Saratoga Arts Center, Southern Saratoga Artist Society, and Troy’s 2nd Street Hallway Gallery.
Through her art, Patrice blends narrative, whimsy, and dynamic composition, creating pieces that invite viewers into a world of vibrant color, expressive linework, and layered textures.
Whether through music or visual storytelling, her work is a testament to a life rich in creativity, exploration, and artistic evolution.
